In many ways, this coronavirus pandemic has exposed the inequalities of our city, especially when it comes to our education system and access to resources. Yet as we continue to adjust to our new school “normal,” I am reminded often that our young people are resilient and our city is strong. Thanks to the work of our first responders, doctors, nurses, hospital staff and essential workers, we will get through this. As we all become problem solvers in this crisis, I know that by working together, we will get through this uncertainty.

News 12 The Bronx: Northwest Bronx community starts petition against MTA bus service cuts



The northwest Bronx community and its leaders are pushing back against proposed express bus service cuts with a new petition.


Democratic district leader of the 81st Assembly District Eric Dinowitz says if service cuts are implemented, buses would stop running downtown from North Riverdale on the BxM1 at 4:45 p.m. and on the BxM2 at 3 p.m.
